Mr. Chatterbox

Well they called him Mr. Chatterbox,
Even talked while eating his bagels and lox.
He would talk when he took the garbage out,
And when he didn't know what he was talking about.
And he talked while he walked up and down the street,
And would yack with everybody he'd meet.
Yes he would talk to everybody he saw,
And would talk until his throat was raw.
And he would talk about things he didn't know,
And would talk all through the picture show.
And he talked and he talked and he talked some more,
And he talked until his lungs were sore.
And then one day when he was eighty four,
He finally shut up and didn't talk no more.
And that was years and years ago,
And yet it's really funny well don't you know.
That he not only talked his whole life long,
But sort of still talks when people sing this song.
