Going For A Ride

Jeff Huber, on a clear spring day,
Drove his silver car away.
Is this a day to take a ride?
Or should, a goal, he now decide?

If he's inclined to head out East,
A choice is made, in part, at least.
For that's the road I 80 meets.
And hope, his reason, soon defeats.

And thus he knows he's on his way
To try his luck at Reno's play.
He loves to feed the slot machines;
And barely keeps within his means.

A chance, he sees, to let his dimes,
Repay him fifty thousand times.
Or drop a dollar in the slots
And take enormous dollar pots.

But once the last know coin is spent,
He wonders where the money went.
And though, this time, he did not win,
Before too long, he'll try again.
