Run for your life! It's poetry time.

Friends

A young and handsome lad
Came ambling down the street
He met a bright eyed gal
And swept her off her feet.

They spent the working days
Together hand in hand
They spent the ev'ning times
On fun and future plans

They cuddled up at night
In one another's arms
And knew the blessed joy
Of one another's charms.

They spent their life as one
With loving children, too
And were throughtout their lives
To faith and honor true.

Their lives were filled with joy
Up to the very end.
For, through their many years,
They were the best of friends.
