Mad laughter in the lunar light
Goes tumbling through the silv'ry hills, And falls upon the sparkling sand To warm away the ocean chills. To soon you feel the moonlight fade In the shadows more blue than blue; And through the falt'ring light of stars, There comes a dawning of the truth. Dip deep in wells of yesterday-- There hidden in a shell of fears, A half-forgotten sacred pain,] Will change again the night to tears. - Edna Huber (1971) |
